SR-71 Features single-to-double concave bottom for a drivey, predictable feel. Lower entry allows you to get into waves early and gain quick bursts of speed down the line. Good amount of tail rocker bending through the second half of the board makes for a tight turning, top-to-bottom board. Drives of the bottom like a dream and carries it’s speed through turns. An all around performance design that pushes back in waves large and small! My personal favorite. Ideal Conditions: Shoulder-high to overhead Experience: Intermediate to advanced Designed to: Lacerate on rail

Hello Charissa….Todd….
This is Mark Dower up in Santa Barbara, the day after Christmas. Todd, I was hoping I’d get to talk to you in person. I just wanted to say, I got around to riding the “Deano”,I’ve been riding it the past three days. I’ve been waiting my whole life to ride a surfboard like that. If you shape me a hundred crappy boards after this one, I’ll still be forever thankful.
That’s the best board, shortboard, I’ve ever ridden. Thanks…. I’m not sure if that’s because it’s narrow and small and light, or whatever, but I feel like ordering up three more because I’m afraid when I break this one, I’m not gonna have anything to ride. It also means I’m gonna have to sell all my other boards… they look like cows. Anyways, I hope you’re having a good holiday and we’ll talk soon. Thanks again,
Bye.

SR71

Hey Todd
Had a great trip in Bali, I hit the reef but protected my boards at all costs.
Just wanted to drop a note to you and thanks for the great boards,
this board, the g4e, works great in the small and medium stuff.
It turns on a dime and picks up speed instantly.
My latest SR71 is insane, I road it on the overhead
plus days and it held really well,
again the main focus of my boards is that they have all
maintained speed thru turns and the flat sections.
I am really stoked on all my boards and will be in soon to order up another.
Stoked on your website, great job!

Todd, I picked up my new board from you a few weeks back. It’s a 6′2″ Proxy SR-71 with a two tone blue fade. I am always a skeptic when I try a new board out especially from a new shaper. When I got the board back to my house to check it out I found a curvier outline, more rocker, and less concave than my previous boards. I was thinking that it would be really manuverable but I was worried that it would be slow. Man was I wrong! Once I started to figure the board out I was blown away by how sensetive it is rail to rail, and how I could use the extra manuverablity to generate even more speed.
My old boards have always been fast, But turning them at top speed was always the issue. They required full force which made the turn hard to control. This board however banks turns at full speed easily and the turns are positive. Plenty of projection. Not the type the tail starts to drift and with it goes all your speed for the next turn. Also the board catches waves like a dream, I barely have to paddle.
With this being my first board from you I can only imagine what the next one will be like. For now I’m going to ride this one into the ground and try to find something about it that we can improve on for the next one. Thanks for giving me a board that is going to help me improve my surfing.
P.S. I bought some future compatable trulite fins from true ames. They work great on this board. Feels like glass ons.
