| Hey you guys...
First shot today on Lil Rascal - more to come for sure.
Truly thanks for all your hard work and unreal boards.

Hey Charissa,
I
am writing this in regards to my 5′ 6″ Lil’ Rascal custom board. The
board is insane and is now my go to board for anything h/h and under
(even though I will ride it in bigger clean surf). Todd’s dimensions
for me were right on and the epoxy is better than any of my XTR boards.
Even the boards grey color is a nice change and I can NOT wait to get
on a Blackbird or SR71. Thanks to Todd for answering every question I had and making sure this board was going to be magic.
And
to you Charissa for your superb customer service and making this
process painless and getting my board to my doorstep just as promised.
I am stoked.
Sincerely,
Christian B., 37, Los Angeles, Ca Custom “PROXY” Epoxy: 5′6″ x 19 1/2″ x 2 5/16″ Lil’ Rascal
As you know, Todd shaped a Little Rascal for me about a year ago, so this is a relatively long-term review. I had always ridden longboards prior to getting the Rascal, so Todd made it large (7'3). It was a little bit of a jump from a 9' board, but not bad.
Since that time, the Rascal has gotten to be my "all around" board. It handles anything from knee high summer waves to well overhead winter swell.
I found that I like riding it as a quad, because it holds well even on big surf and is really fast. The quads give the board a lot of drive and allow it to make sections that I cannot make on my shortboard thruster. All of my longboard riding friends love the Rascal.
Todd built the Rascal as a Proxy and it has held up very well. To this point, it doesn't even have heel dents on the top and virtually looks new. Since I'm retired, I ride this board almost every day, so that is really saying something about the longevity of these boards.
This board became a transition board to ride thrusters and small fish. I no longer ride a longboard, because this board is just so much more fun.
It does everything my thruster (by another well known California shaper) does, only better. It is definitely my "go to" board for all conditions and travel.
Working with you and Todd has been great. Thank you for all of your help.

Hey Todd,
The Lil Rascal is insane! After picking it up at your shop
I surfed ankle-to-knee C-Street, and that thing just zoomed, just like the video on your site.
Never thought a big guy like me (6′2″ 185) could get speed like that
on such weak little waves. Last month I took it (and the 6′5″ D.Y.L.)
down to El Salvador for the last South of the fall. I rode the 6′5″
until the swell started to drop, then had three of the funnest days
riding the Rascal on a waist high reef, having the time of my life
flying down the line and ducking into little coverups while the rest of
my bros just complained about the small surf;-)
The Rascal is truly a magic board.
I can feel that “bubble pillow” thing with the concaves.
One little pump and it just lifts and goes! So stoked on it!
I’m on the North Shore now for the rest of the month. My biggest
problem has been reaching for the Rascal when the conditions call for a
bigger board, but that thing is so fast, as long as I make the drop I
can speed down the line!!!
Here are some pics from yesterday.
Thanks for making me a great board and Merry Christmas!

Duuuuude! I can’t believe how great this board (Lil Rascal 6′1″x20″) works! I surfed 2 foot Oceanside yesterday and I felt almost like Jay Phillips: catching waves outside with the longboaders, passing them, doing floaters and cutbacks on tiny waves.
Normally I would have gone home because it was so gutless and small, but I decided to put your “project” to the test. You passed! A week ago I surfed Lowers and found, to my surprise, that the board worked equally as well backside. In some ways I even like it better because of the way it accelerates and snaps off the top.
The next day I was at walled, shoulder high Churches making sections no one else could. And my three friends said I was surfing better than ever. The envy was thick. I’m still making adjustments for more in-the-pocket surfing but I have zero complaints. On several occasions, complete strangers have asked about the board. Though I’d love to take credit and chalk it up to my surfing ability, the Lil Rascal has had an incredible affect on my surfing ability and stoke.
Don’t be surprised if you start getting calls from south Orange County. Thanks for the insane board!
