I’ve created a monster….no, a monsta….
This cheeter board keeps the speed constant, yet has the hold of a normal good waves shortboard. It is similar to the Falcon, but with a slightly more pulled in nose and a wide squashtail for maximum lift. Where the Falcon had a spiral vee contour running through the fin cluster, I’ve plowed all the guts out of it and left one deep even concave with subtle inset doubles running through the fins and even concave running right off the tail block. When I shaped the first one, I didn’t think it would work, but somehow the water compresses through the tail just fine (I think cause of the concave off the tailblock) and makes for a lightning fast board that you can push full force on the tail block without worrying about any slipping. Basically you get all the speed of the Rascal and Falcon, but you never have to let off the gas going into or coming out of maneuvers. Ride this one 3-4 inches shorter and 1/2” wider than your standard good waves shortboard.

Monsta
Da Monsta (w/ Proxy carbon rail suspension)
“the one board quiver”….the ultimate high performance groveler that is extremely versatile; speed arcing and dismantling everything from 2ft to overhead.
Construction: Proxy custom flexible epoxy. Has the feel of a poly under your feet with 5 x’s the strength. Stringerless with carbon rails gives the board a slingshot effect out of turns.

Monsta news:

please note that I am now doing two different type of Monsta rockers….same outline, thickness and rails, but just two different rockers….
(1)  Monsta v.1 – flatter rocker for really mushy slopey small waves.
(2)  Monsta v.2 – more rocker for more versatility…works great in small waves, yet also works good in good waves.

MonstaChief

Due to such great response from da Monsta series, we've added a new edition for big guys who want a versatile Monsta that will rip like a high performance shortboard in good waves, yet still have all the grovel-ability of da Monsta.

Design-wise it's a synthesis of the rail line rocker of the Big Chief with the hull contours, outline, and rail volume of da Monsta.

Carbon Rail stringerless yields an increased flex pattern that gives more speed through the flats and a rocker that warps into the steep parts of the wave face; forming into the shape of the wave creating  slingshot effect both into and out of maneuvers…..IT'S ALIVE!! Even now more than ever…..aaaagghhhhh!! It's also 3-5+ times stronger than a poly.

Monsta

I’ve created a monster….no, a Monsta…

This is the most popular and widely ordered board I have been making over the last three years….it has become most surfers’ “normal everyday board for all conditions”. The only complaint has become, “I don’t ride any of my other boards anymore!”

This new life form is the high performance great grandchild of the Lil’ Rascal….it has morphed, grown a bit sleeker, but has stayed true to it’s roots of blistering speed through its heritage of a shorter, wider, stalkier persona. Where this offspring has matured and pushed past it’s predecessors is in the area of versatility and in-the-pocket mobility. The Monsta keeps the speed constant….you don’t have to rely so much on the wave dictating where you’ll derive your speed from….the board just goes, yet has the hold of a normal good waves shortboard when you bare some teeth into your turns. Where the Rascal utilized a spiral vee contour running through the fin cluster, I’ve plowed all those guts out of the Monsta and left one deep even concave with subtle inset doubles running through the fins…as well there is also concave running right off the tail block; we call it the ‘exhaust pipe’. Ride Da Monsta 3-4 inches shorter and 1/2” wider than your standard good waves shortboard.
