El Pavote (Spanish for fat wild turkey): Best summed up – easy speed with maximum hold for performance surfing. El Pavote is basically the Falcon model with all the spiral vee through the back half of the board shaped out of the bottom; and replaced with a deep even single concave with subtle doubles running the length of the back 1/3 of the rocker and off the tail block. So….what all that technical jargon means practically is that the El Pavote has more hold off your back foot so you can leave the gas at full throttle through turns, push on it as hard as you like and it will push back and redirect with smooth positive drive not unlike the speed with which demons got the boot from God’s heavenly kingdom at the dawn of time. Ride this board 4-5 inches shorter and 3/4” wider than your standard good waves shortboard. You can get this board with the Apache tail, the swallow tail, the diamond tail, or the rounded diamond winger tail. THE PROXY
Proctor Custom Flexible Epoxy version 2.0
- Stronger than before, lighter than before, with an even more responsive/ longer lasting flex memory -
Made from materials designed for the highest performance surfing
possible – utilizes specific flex patterns to increase the board’s
torque through turns.
Stronger than the molded boards (i.e. Boardworks, Surftech, etc…)
Lighter than traditional p/u boards (polyurethane)
Custom designed…no pop-outs.
Now with unlimited custom graphics options.
The Proxy….definition. – Custom epoxy surfboard that matches the
flex and performance advantages of a polyester board with strength that
surpasses the molded pop-out boards.
This is our latest development in the flexible epoxy series.
We begin with an ultra-lightweight epoxy “fusion Core” for the shaped
blank - a uniquely formulated eps that has been fused under higher
pressures to achieve greater compression strength and less ‘worm holes’
(i.e open pores typical with standard eps foams. These open pores, or
worm holes add unnecessary weight due to water or resin absorption into
the blank.) The “Fusion Core” does not suck in water, or bubble or
delaminate over time like other custom epoxy core materials are prone
to do.
I custom shape and design each board on the DSD surfboard cad design program.
This allows me to use my most proven shapes to further customize the
perfect board for each surfer. Through personal discussion and
interaction, I am able to determine each surfers’ height, weight,
experience, the type of waves they surf, and the direction they want to
take their surfing. I have always believed that plain old communication
is an integral part of the design process.
The glassing is done with premium grade S-glass (the best fiberglass
for yielding the highest strength-to-weight surfboards). Strategically
placed flex points, or hinges are added at this stage as well. We are
offering two performance enhancing upgrades to the new PROXY line….I’m
calling this the Titanium Series. Upgrades include: (1) reinforced
carbon-hinge flex tail and/ or (2) Kevlar deck compression patch.
The epoxy resin used in the process is also uniquely formulated to
have more elongation, or flex than is typically characteristic of most
epoxies. This is very important to how a board rides.
The best surfboards flex and recoil back out of turns…..
they flex lengthwise as well as side-to-side along the board….this
is the “spring”, the “life” that you feel in a magic board. No matter
how great the shape of a board may be, you kill it if you build it so
it rides stiff and rigid.
Each board is made from start to finish here in our Ventura factory.
This allows me and the Proctor Surfboards crew to ensure that the
highest level of attention and quality is put into every board.

Hi Charissa, Board arrived in A1 condition, brilliant packing! Looks fantastic, can't wait to give it a blast and will feedback to you after a few waves this weekend! Have a great weekend.

Hey Charissa,Here's a bit of feedback for Todd.Had 3 surfs on my new 'Pavote' this week in some fairly good 4ft clean surf, only with an air temp of -2 and water mid 40's, freezing!
Really getting into the feel of it today, picks up waves easy, paddles great and feels very lively under the feet with whips up around the lip fast and smooth...this board is my new 'go to' already! Proud to be riding a 'Proctor' and wearing a big grin!I'll shoot some photo's over in near future.
Cheers and many thanks again for great service and great boards! Brent, Corwall, UKage: 51 ht: 5'9" wt: 183 lb exp: 40+ yearsProxy El Pavote: 5'11" x 19 3/4" x 2 9/16" Apache tail
The Falcon is amazing! It works in everything....points, beach breaks, and reefs. I've never had a board be so good in the barrel. These Falcons work like slingshots, you can make any section! I like to ride the Falcon as a thruster cuz it's fast and loose already . You just need the fin setup to hold and control the speed you get on these boards. Much love, to the board I love, Da Falcon! Todd and Charissa, Okay, here goes. The board is insane. Todd is a genius. Took the board out today in chest to head high waves and had literally, the best session of surfing in 6 years. I have never just jumped on a board that felt so perfect and went so good. It usually takes a couple of sessions to get comfortable and find the sweet spot on the board...not with the Proctor Falcon. Super smooth off the bottom and then just blasts the lip. I was so surprised how hard I could push the board and how responsive it was. When I got out of the water, I had everyone asking me about the board. I just can't believe how well Todd nailed it...and made me exactly what I was looking for, and needed, to progress my surfing. I am looking forward to a lot more sessions on this board and taking my surfing above the lip. This will be the board that will get me there. Charissa, thanks for your outstanding Customer service. Besides offering an awesome product, you guys really go the extra distance to ensure 100% Customer satisfaction. Outstanding boards with outstanding Customer service is a winning combination. Hey Todd, I’ve been riding the Falcon in everything……at Malibu and Leo Carrillo, the speed is incredible, paddles great. I can catch anything I want. I surfed it at Oxnard Shores recently and was surprised at how well it handled in the beach breaks.
It was overhead and punchy. The board worked insane. I didn’t catch a rail once. Thanks, Mark

Hey Todd and Charissa, I just wanted to let you know that the Falcon is the best board I have ever ridden in my life!
For the first couple of days, I took it into some smaller surf: mushy 2 to 3 feet. It has extraordinarily fast paddling speed which allowed me to pull into basically any wave I wanted.
It also picks up extraordinary speed in smaller waves like no other, allowing me to have a blast, even on the smallest days.
Today and the day before, I took the Falcon out into some real surf, from 5 feet to some 8 foot sets. The board is absolutely ridiculous in larger surf. I got so much speed down the line and pulled off some of the best turns in my life today.
Although the waves today were not the best I have ridden, this session has been the best session ever, due to this spectacular board. Thank you so much for shaping me an incredible board and providing excellent costumer service along the way. I look forward to purchasing my next additions to my quiver from you and I wish that every deserving surfer could experience riding a Falcon because it is, and will remain my favorite board.
Thanks again, Nick Frazier, 15, Malibu, CA Custom Falcon with four parabolic channels & 5 fin install 5′6″ x 19 3/8″ x 2 1/8″ moontail
